Q: What are bluMjk's ingredients?

A: ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Sodium salicylate (15%) [more information at: wikipedia.org].

INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Isopropyl alcohol, glycerol, peppermint oil, purified water.

Q: How much analgesic is in one bottle of bluMjk?

A: A single bottle of bluMjk contains 9 mL of analgesic. Because the bottle is a no-spill roll-on, there is no waste and a little goes a long way. The duration of a bottle is a function of how much you use, the surface area of painful area, and how often bluMjk is applied. Typically one bottle holds an average of 50+ applications.

Q: What makes bluMjk different than all of the other topical over the counter preparations that contain Sodium salicylate?

A: None of the other Sodium salicylate compounds, for example, Aspercreme, contain our unique carrier system which drives the salicylate through the outer layer of the skin (keratin), the underlying skin (dermis) and into the nerve sheaths of the pain nerve fibers which transmit the sensation of pain to the Central Nervous System (brain).

Q: Do the other Sodium salicylate containing preparations penetrate at all?

A: Yes they do but not to any extent into the pain nerve fibers themselves. bluMjk is many times as potent as the other salicylate containing topicals.

Q: How does bluMjk compare to some of the other topical analgesics such as the counterirritants?

A: The counterirritants, which contain either menthol or capsicum, mask pain to a degree, by stimulating other sensory nerves in the area which produces a local feeling of cold or hot. While these compounds are of definite use in the treatment of minor pain, their ability to decrease or eliminate moderately severe to severe pain is a fraction of what bluMjk accomplishes.

Q: How does bluMjk differ from an anesthetic like Novacain or Lidocaine?

A: Local anesthetics, such as Novacain or Lidocaine, completely deaden all of the sensory nerve fibers in the area where they are injected. Topical anesthetics, for instance, Benzocaine, have some use in treating sunburn but no known topical anesthetic is very effective in penetrating the skin.

bluMjk is not an anesthetic. It does not “deaden” the sensory nerves. It works only on the underlying pain nerve fibers which it restores to a resting or normal state. However, after applying bluMjk, there is another episode of harmful activity that should cause pain, pain will re-occur! Using bluMjk will not lead to further injury by allowing a patient to do something harmful after it is applied without feeling pain.

Q: By applying bluMjk and getting rid of pain can a patient hurt themselves because the pain is gone?

A. After applying bluMjk, if there is another episode of activity that should cause pain, pain will re-occur! Using bluMjk will not lead to further injury by allowing a patient to do something harmful because the pain has been relieved, since the pain will re-occur under these circumstances.

Q: Does bluMjk “cure” anything?

A: Most definitely not! bluMjk is symptomatic therapy only. The underlying condition that causes the pain that bluMjk gets rid of must be treated by an appropriate healthcare provider.

Q: Can bluMjk be used with other forms of treatment or therapy?

A: Absolutely! Any form of physical treatment by a healthcare professional can be enhanced by bluMjk. Using bluMjk together with massage, rehabilitation maneuvers, manipulation, etc. will yield better results because of an interruption in the pain/spasm cycle. It can be used in between visits for pain relief. It can be used before any intervention with enhanced results.

Q: Besides the conditions listed on the homepage of this site are there other conditions that cause pain which may be relieved by bluMjk?

A: Since ALL pain is perceived by signals sent from pain nerve fibers to the brain, and bluMjk works on these very pain fibers, almost all pain may be relieved or eliminated by bluMjk. The exceptions are pain that occurs over a very large area where it is impractical to apply bluMjk, or where the pain is originating from so deep inside the body that bluMjk cannot penetrate to the necessary depth to be useful.

Q: Is bluMjk addicting or habituating?

A: No, bluMjk has no effect on the central nervous system (brain). There are no reported cases of mood change, addiction or habituation.

Q: Over time does the body “get used to” bluMjk so that it loses its effectiveness?

A: No, this has never been observed.

Q: Are there any other companies anyplace in the world making a similar compound to bluMjk?

A: No.
